I don’t actually care if you have it upside down or not. I was just messing around. I’ve always slashed my tags so they don’t peel off if one piece.

Take a picture of your plate with the new tag on it too, and keep it on your phone just in case.

Folks I have helped in parking lots can't believe a small lithium box will roll their dead engine over like it's nothing. I use mine as a power bank too with the 12v and USB plugs just to put a load on them from time to time when I do the 3 month top off. These things will last many years if they are taken care of.

Thanks. My first Toyota truck was an 85 Xtra Cab like the one below. There were two other ACs between it and the black 99 one.

Replaced My Old transmission CBI skid plate after getting an exhaust re-Reroute with a new CBI plate without the bump for the exhaust. CBI has two front skid plates, the engine one and the transmission one behind it. Didn't have to do anything with my engine one.

Should have done this in the first place. The exhaust re-route was only $140, out the door The old skid plate was getting a beating and I got high-centered on it twice.

Old skidplate. This one was aluminum. Did a good job except for that bump that was there because the old exhaust was so low before I got it re-routed:IMG_5908.jpg

Close-up of the old plate bashed by the rocks where the bump for the exhaust crosses over (left is towards the rear of the truck):
    IMG_5910.jpg

New One Delivered. CBI really does a good job of packaging. I got it in bare metal (steel this time, instead of aluminum because it is quite a bit cheaper and I don't think the extra weight will affect my gas mileage and powder coating doesn't really stand up anyways to being beaten on by rocks.)
    IMG_5839.jpg

Cleaned it off with Goof off, then simple green. It cleaned up really well.
    IMG_5854.jpg

Then hit it with a couple of coats of gray primer. You can see the unpainted steel at the top of the skid plate in this photo (after cleaning).
    IMG_5848.jpg

This is the primer I used.
    IMG_5849.jpg

Then used two coats of some flat black paint. I waited two days between the gray prime and the black paint.
    IMG_5853.jpg

This shows how the painting turned out. The gray spot is the primed piece before the first coat of black
    IMG_5852.jpg

Installed. FLAT with NO BUMP! Makes me happy. The blotchiness in the paint is where I touched up after the install.

I bought some of this for my Mountain Hatch tailgate cover. The cover even has a ‘slippery’ warning embossed into the cover. Going to place a few strips strategically on the cover as to not defeat the purpose of have a nice flat work surface.

I've got something in the works that'll allow me to either turn the lights on manually or use them with the factory high beams.

I rerouted my exhaust first and saved myself the embarras ... er ... trouble.

You should be able to sell the old one to SOMEONE using your regional sub-forum, at least recover the price of the finishing products. :)

Wait...are you suggesting that I'm not supposed to keep my sliders clean by wiping them with my lower legs each time I get out of the truck?
