Hello all, I am new here and have a situation that needs input. I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport with halogen lights and LED DRL. I replaced the entire head unit with Eagle Eyes from Rockauto (I thought they were OEM LED). I needed a conversion kit, which I got from Daveeasa. I immediately noticed that only one light would turn on whenever I used the remote to open or close the truck. It didn't bother me because everything else worked well. Later on, I decided to upgrade the tail lights with Alpharex Luxx. I still noticed the same issue with the one light when opening or closing the truck. Then I also realized that the hazard lights work well when the engine is on but would blink 2-4 times when the engine is off and then nothing. I wasn't concerned since it didn't affect their functions whenever the engine was running. I have installed LED fog lights, lights, and four raptor-style lights for other modifications to license plate l. All was fine except for when the engine wasn't running. Two weeks have gone by since the tail light modification. Driving home the other day, I noticed something unusual: the brake, pre-collision, VSC, and blind spot monitor lights came on, asking me to take the truck to the dealer. The truck drives with no problems. Lights still work, as previously mentioned. However, the raptor-style lights don't work. I have checked every fuse, and all are good. I also checked the cables for proper grounding, and all are solid. After reading through hundreds of threads, I may need a resistor (if so, which one?) or a blown relay (if so, which one). Any help would do. Thanks for reading.

Edit: I replaced the rear lights with OEM, but I still had the same issue with the engine on and off.

I think you should have stopped adding mods the moment you realized that the first set of lights weren't working properly. Right now I think that the only way to really find out is to reverse pretty much all the other lights that you've added, and see if the truck sensors go back to normal.

@ricco333 During my research, I read that these lights would come on for little things like a blown taillight bulb. I also reversed all the lights, but no change. My next step is to disconnect the battery.

That would be next, I myself I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to aftermarket so I pretty much wait 4 months in between mods just to make sure that the previous one doesn't pop up any codes. But yeah disconnect your battery or you can clear them with one of those Bluetooth ODB2 scanners.

Keep us updated as to what the definitive issue was and solution is. I’m a little skeptical it was the tails as they are plug and play, whereas the other mods seem to have replaced or modified components of the truck. I am often wrong though.

I hate aftermarket parts. I wanted, and OEM LED headlights. Unfortunately, Rockauto messed up my order and would not consider a return on the headlights (about $1600). The tail lights weren't bright enough and were a safety issue. I replaced them with TRD Pro tail lights, which weren't bright either. Especially the side lights. I researched, and Alpharex Luxx was the best option I could get. Lets see what happens next.

holy shit, they charged you $1,600 for the Chinesiums?! You can get OE for slightly less than that. Maybe call them again, and tell them they don't work properly?

I called and tried to return them the very day I installed them. I was told that once the part has been installed on the vehicle, it cannot be returned. I just had to embrace my fate and make the best out the headlights.
