2021 owners, leaky battery??

    Hey DA, I'm the original poster... from 2 years ago.
    They replaced the battery and the hold down, no charge.

    My 2019 Toyota battery was leaking from around the positive post at about 45k miles. I replaced it with a Deka brand and have had no problems since

    Batteries will off gas from the vents when they are receiving a charge. This is normal. This results in some acid/dirt accumulation on top of the battery. It used to be standard practice for owners to clean and maintain this kind of thing. "Back when men were men"

    My battery was clearly leaking from around the positive post. Confirmed after several “manly” battery cleanings.

    based on a decent amount of posts around here, it's no wonder some can't get help at the dealer, I can't imagine the shit they see and hear,,, every day is "buy back situation" because someone found a sticker under the hood, with the corner peeling.
