    welcome

lacking details there are 3 different frame sizes Regular Cab, Access Cab/Double Cab Short Bed, DC Long Bed so it could be that
there have been some mounting point changes

who said it wont work, they may just not want to do it

there are been a few members that made a 3rd gen frame work on their 2nd gen but they had to mod some some mounting points

Spaulding auto parts, I found a 2011 frame in the yard that’s not rusted but my truck is a 2005 I just don’t want to buy a frame that won’t work so trying to figure out what I can do to make this one work or what even the difference is if anyone knows?
I love my truck just trying to get it back on the road

I already gave you the first potential difference AC/DCSB are about 1.5 feet longer than RCs and DCLB are about a foot longer than AC/DCSB frames
You have not told use what yours is or what the one you found is
I also believe there is a difference between AT and MT transmissions mounting

You need to be asking the question of if it will work/fit your needs with the person/shop that is going to do the work
There is also all the new parts that should be replaced: brake lines, fuel lines, steering components, ect.
