FWIW, welding that puzzle together is cake work for even a novice welder.

No one in your circle that could take a couple hours and glue that together for you?

If you were in my neck of the woods, I'd do it for the fun of it.

The large one? Super easy, just have to have a good attention to detail ensuring things are aligned as there's play within every piece (not to mention it's awkwardly heavy and can't be propped up easily)

So yeah, if you can tack and run a tiny bead or two it's stupid easy

Where it helps having experience is running a bead or tack in the most awkward positions, using either hand, using your torch upside down, and more as many spots are super hard to reach

With that said, it's why I discouraged making and selling the smaller set

Hell of an offer too; I offer welding for free if it's something I'd have fun with sometimes

I got my final file and judging by the size of it all, it's going to be about 5' long :anonymous:

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
Cut them all like ninja stars and then curl the edges more

I also smash all mine with a bean bag pad and a round ended hammer to make them all form more like a bowl

First sold order, sold as a kit

    20231222_150652.jpg

    All 52 pieces laid out

    20231222_161258.jpg

I have to say, considering this steel plate had a big bow in the center, all the pieces cut perfect as it assembled and held together just like my first one

One on the right is held together via slots, one on the left is welded

    20231222_163008.jpg

If this is something TW would be interested in, I'd be happy to make a thread and sell them as a kit

i'm trying to come up with a better solution myself...

it started with seeing this on Amazon, and reading all the terrible reviews.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BVH41H4Z/?coliid=IX96YWD4V1VPR&colid=1A6VNEM4KI7O5

so i made my own with a piece of 20 gauge, some 6-32's to slot the charger onto, and welded on these flat mounts to hold batteries.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098HB9NBS?ie=UTF8

the rear panel of my tool box has an otherwise-useless magnetic plate, so the magnets hold the whole thing up, mostly. not happy with the design, but also still not sure how to improve upon it. i liked the idea of the charger being on an angle, don't like the space usage of that though..

Look up a set of free plans for download, send it to me, and we can get it cut out. Even customize it as needed.

    @soundman98

That charger holder (ignore the welds, I was just learning to weld)

    20231223_113927.jpg

With the charger removed; I welded two bolts on it to prevent the charger from falling off cause sometimes I just shove a battery on it quickly while I go grab another

    20231223_113942.jpg

I use that phone holder to throw my phone on the charger while I'm in the garage

Holds my TV and soundbar controllers so I don't lose them

A misc wood block in case I need it for the drill press nearby

And a ton of extra tension wrenches and other lock picking tools

    It's super useful

I made some flowers for our Christmas table.

Not an original design on my part. Tried 18 gauge and they wobble like they are outside in the wind!

16 gauge for the next sets. Gonna make a few extra for future craft fair items.
