Hello all, I have a 2018 Tacoma Ltd. I installed rock lights, but want them to turn on with the dome lights. I found a few threads and have my relay wired to everything except to the control wire. The threads I find say to tap into yellow wire on a pillar harness (numer 11). The problem i am having is that I don't have a yellow wire on number 11. I might also be looking at the harness wrong. Does someone have a pic or a diagram with pins called out to help. Don't want to tap into wrong wire. Any help is appreciated.

There are 2 choices, one provides parallel control with the cab illumination (as in switch controls all settings) or added lights tap into the wire that activates with unlock/door open. There are more, but simple is best.
    Which one would you prefer?

@caribe makaira just to confirm, the green wire is the ground wire (control) wire correct? I'm pulling power from a continuous source.

The is a negative. Green wire is juice (power). Do not confuse the fused power to the added lights with the relay coil signal need. If that is how you plan to install, then it requires a different wire in a different location.

I had a relay to have the option to turn on the lights with a separate switch and keep the dome lights off (if need be). I was needing the ground/control wire for the dome lights

So you'll need a DPST switch to select the purple wire on the bed light switch or a clean ground.

I used the switch set up so that they come on when I open the door , and the bed lights come on. When the doors are shut, I have a separate switch that I can use to turn on. Mine aren’t set up as rock lights but that’s what the set up was designed for. I’m using mine so the prinsu camp lights in rack handles come on. It’s super convenient and lights up all around truck when I need it . You use the bed light switch lower left so you can also disable them . That was you have many options depending on how you use them. Just an idea :)
