AFC is harder to pick. Lamar is a great talent, but still only has 1 playoff win. I know all the greats at one time were at the same point, but I’m in a “I won’t believe it until I see it” mode with him and post-season success. Miami hasn’t beaten a good team yet. The next 2 weeks we will see if they can. My Chiefs are struggling but I see no reason not to still be hopeful since there is no dominant team in the AFC.

Kelce Bros interviewed Brock early last off season. That segment begins at ~ 22:49. A quality interview with some good moments.

How I feel about the Eagles and Chiefs(or any other team) has nothing to do with the respect players earn as players or people. These guys get it.

I think the Ravens are somewhat discounted because the perception is that outside of Lamar they don’t have much talent on offense(OBJ notwithstanding). I believe that’s a mistake. But. Every time Lamar doesn’t throw it takes away an opportunity for another player and their stat lines. What I don’t know is whether or not Lamar missed opportunities. Having watched the Rams/Ravens highlights the big play throws often weren’t particularly accurate. Those other guys can obviously run and catch. Would their stats be better paired with a QB less dependent on movement? I think that argument can be made about many mobile QBs, the question will always be does the mobility enhance or diminish performance in the long run rather than any specific play. If you believe Bosa the niners wanted Jalen to be more aware of the rush than of his receivers. Maybe that works on Lamar enough to diminish part of the Ravens offense. I do think the Niners can match or exceed what the Rams did to be a threat on offense and definitely exceed what they did on defense in both run and pass defense. I think Lamar will still make plays and with HF that might get them through the playoffs. Miami is volatile, I wouldn’t count them out yet. Some of us remember how effective Mostert was as a Niner and he’s still leading the league in rushing touchdowns. If not for the knee injury he might still be a Niner. Mahomes has yet to take his show on the road post season, it doesn’t mean he can’t. But.
There’s a whole lot of inconsistent ball around the league which I’m sure is partly due to the QB’s dropping like flies but not completely since most of those still upright are also having the issue. A bad game now can break the season.

I’m not. It’s important but not critical to either team so to me the single most important thing is getting by it without losing anyone. That’s not under anyone’s control so I’m sure both teams will be playing to win and be one game closer to the 1-seed. It might even be better to have to win the last game against the Rams rather than coast, have the bye, and then have to get back in gear again after essentially 3 weeks off. But as a fan I want to see them boat race everyone 6 times. If it’s only the last 5 of the 6 or even 3 of the 6 that’s fine too.

Agree … 2005 Colts … started 13-0 but lost the next game and were 13-1. Since they had the top seed wrapped up and no perfect season to go for, they were resting starters parts of two full weeks followed with the bye. They lost the first playoff game. It had been 28 days since Manning played 60 minutes. Not sure about all the starters or that Manning sucked that game, but since then I’ve never been a fan of more than one full week off. Anything more than 14 days of rest is dangerous.

I know Mahomes had 21 days rest 3 years ago and still won 2 playoff games, still don’t like it.

Montana was undefeated in the SB but not in the playoffs. ‘85, ‘86 & ‘87 all one and done, 1st in WC round, other 2 division round w/bye.

That was a good interview. I like how he said passes to Debo just stick to him. Makes me jealous (as a KC guy). I also like his comments on Kittle and Travis’s reaction. You can tell there is mutual respect between George and Travis.

    Yeah, some good stuff.
His demeanor regardless of the situation is steady as a rock. Everything just seems to roll off but he still has fun.

Would be interesting to see Detroit play Rams in the wildcard if things pan out the way they are now. Goff beating his old team.

The stories are setting up. Flacco is another one with the Brown’s D.
You can probably pick up Jimmy G this off season.
