Got a buddy trying to sell me his 03 prerunner auto believe it has around 300k no engine in car. 2 5vz-fe both torn apart in bins. What do you think a reasonable price would be . If not allowed please delete.

The buddy price for what you're describing should be zero. That's quite a bit of project to take on if you have to pay $ to even get started.

Depending on the condition of the rest of the truck it could be worth a couple grand.

Frame condition is another big one. If you purchase it are you planning to rebuild the engine yourself? I look at this way, if it had a running engine in it what would it be worth, $5-7k and up.....another way to look at it would be not to pay more than it could realistically be parted out for.

Yah that's how I'm trying to look at it. I would ideally try to rebuild it he has a rebuild kit for it full gasket kit rings bearings. Frame is good no rust.

Sounds like he needs to make space. Tell him you will take it so he doesn't need to deal with selling it to random a-holes.

First is the frame condition. Next is body, then interior. Figure at least a couple grand to make one decent engine out of the two. And....just how desperate is he to get rid of it would affect the price as well.
