    neglect, mostly.
i got this off of craigslist - http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-SC-HT730-5-Disc-Theater-System/dp/B000816XGG

2 side, 1 center, 2 back speakers, a sub and a 5 disc dvd player for $75. a damn steal!! this is a pic i sent into tw live a few weeks ago when some maintenance guys came in and decided to start cutting into my wall. i built the stand the tv's sitting on. pretty proud of it if i must say.

this pic sucks, but it's all i got at the moment.

In my basement (Man Cave :D)

Onkyo TX 803 (THX) for the home theater. Set up as component and not HDMI. Too many bugs with that technology when I set it up.

Onkyo TX 525 (my old model-use it to power the zone speakers in different rooms). All ceiling mount two-way stereo speakers.

    Infiniti PS-12 sub.

My surround is 7.1 with Infiniti vertical wall mount speakers and horizontal center channel mounted on either side of a Da-Lite 108" diagonal screen.

Left and right rear surrounds and a two-way center channel behind the seating area are ceiling mounted.

My DVD is a Panasonic cheapo, but it has performed very well and decodes the THX.

The whole shebang is about 5 years old, but it really works well for us. May not be state-of-the-art anymore, but no complaints.

Projector is a Panasonic AE 9000U (?). Did a lot of research and great bang-for-the -buck with this model.

Aren't going to any movies unless they are 3d, that's for sure... ;)

I don't know all the model numbers on my components, but they are all about 10 years old.

    Onkyo receiver

    Yamaha center and fronts

    Polk rears

    Definitive Technology Sub.

I want to upgrade but very happy with sound quality.

I also run my PS3 with HDMI.

    46" Sony LCD

Denon Home Theater, 6 Mirage speakers & subwoofer surround

I built a PC for my media center. Last year added a 1080p HD video card. HDMI to tv, digital audio to home theater. Most of my tv watching is via the internet.

PS3 -HDMI to TV, Digital audio

Crapcast HD box, Digital audio to home theater, video HDMI to tv.

Best cables available were used at the time of the build a few years ago.

Surge protector also filters the electricity. So no spiking to protect the equipment.
