Can anybody tell me where the proportioning valve is located? Does the gas tank have to come down to get to it? I have put new rotors and calibers on the front. Had to replace rear cylinders an d the right side brake line. Now the rear lines wont bleed. I tried manually bleeding the and I have used a pneumatic bleeder, I cant get any fluid and the resevour is full. I am thinking it is that valve but I haven't found it yet

The ABS unit handles the proportioning on 2nd gens. There isn’t a physical proportioning valve in the rear like 1st gens had.

I wonder if you introduced air into your abs unit or something.

No valve all proportioning is handled by the ABS System.

    Pressure bleeder?

My 2006 Tacoma was a bitch to get the back to bleed. I used vacuum and found that it worked but was sucking air so I never got just fluid. The way I finally got it to bleed was by having the rear slightly higher than the front, then open the bleeder and let it sit. I worked itself out in about 20 minutes. Since then I use a friends pressure bleeder but have to use more pressure than recommended. Hope this helps someone because it's a big problem on these trucks!
