In the process of replacing the stock speakers. I'd seen someone mention how cheap they were around here on the forums. They were not lying. Anyway. I've always ever had my installs on previous vehicles done by pro installers. Former bandmate of mine was an installer for Best Buy back in the day. Said it was easy & just said to do it myself next time. So far, he's not wrong. The Kilmat in the doors is a pain in the ass. But, it's more just tedious than anything.

So, for the front 6x9's I got Kicker KS's. They came with these little in-line crossovers. My last truck I had Infinity Reference 6x9's and if they had crossovers, they were built into the speakers. Because I don't remember ever seeing them in the box when I got them. I'm not seeing much in the documentation or online for these Kickers. I've got the understanding the crossovers block out specific frequencies.

Right now, I'm just doing front and rear door speakers. I'll buy a head unit, amp and a small powered sub in a month or two and put them in then.

However, are those crossovers something I should put in now? Or do I wait and put them in when I do the sub install?

Apparently if I'd look at the little tags on the crossovers closer they actually say 'Must use crossover'. I just need to pay attention. As usual.
