Pioneer doble din won’t turn on

Hello TW audio folks
My pioneer
AVH -290BT won’t turn on I check fuses I’m getting power to unit on back of the unit connector fuse on Estero is also good .
Any ideas or my unit is done ?
Was working perfectly and just died yesterday.
I like that unit very much but also looking to upgrade if anyone selling for a 03 rig

 

really dumb, but you're pressing the power button, right? some models, if they default to the factory programming, appear to not 'turn on' because the default is 'off' until a button is pressed. had many code brown moments from that stupid functionality.

 

A few things to check since you have a multimeter

-yellow 12v in the radio harness, which it sounds like you have
-maestro is getting power, which it sounds like you have
-maestro is outputting power to the red accy wire when the truck is on

you can also grab a paper clip and try the reset button on the radio. Hold it down a few seconds. Normally it’s up by the CD eject button

 

I try that also with switch on and off and nothing . Ima keep typing today see if she comes back to life if not I guess a new unit would be a late Xmas for me lol .

 

Mine, not exactly the same model but a pioneer avh occasionally does the same. Almost always an off and on of the engine will make it turn on. A couple times it didn’t, but then driving down the road a few minutes later it turned on.
