Which truck would be better offroad? The MT 64 suspension looks like better components over the TH suspension components. I thought the TH shocks have rear reservoirs and a 2.5" shaft, where the MT 64s have a 2.8" shaft. There's also OME BP 51, which is most likely an upgrade over the Trailhunter OEM shocks.

Piston diameter isn’t going to be the issue. It will all be in the valving.

Generally high end aftermarket stuff with custom calving will do better off road because you can tune it without the compromises toyota makes for on road performance.

I am sure that is true, but I am hoping their trail hunter config would do better or equal at the very least to the off road config- off the lot

The question is how long will it be until after market suspension is available for the ‘24?

I’m surprised no one else has commented. I am noticing a trend that trailhunter does seem to still be either half baked or less important than the pro in marketing. Example being the latest showcase of pro and trailhunter. It was 60 pro and 40 trailhunter, and most of the trailhunter stuff was a rehash of climbing dirt hills that the pro did. Too it off with the pro having imprinted badging vs trailhunter and it just seems kinda like it’s not as 50/50 split go long and go fast as they are trying to say.

Biggest difference I see is the trailhunter has actual rock sliders. For me it makes no difference. I am getting the off road and I will build it my way with the extra 10k.

Are they actual rock sliders? Or are they just tubular running boards that look like rock sliders, like the Colorado has?

Depends if the snorkel is real or just a clean air intake. But there are the larger size shoes, and headache bar!

Trail Hunter has frame-mounted rock sliders, though they are pretty low profile, not wide enough to protect against door dings off-road.

Pro has body-mounted "rock rails" like on Jeep Rubicons. At first glance I thought they were power-deploy running boards in retracted position.
