We recently bought a 2010 Tacoma for my 16yr old son as his first truck. My husband said it was a steal at 6k. It’s only had one owner, mainly used as a farm truck with 80,000 miles but it needs some body work. Right now it’s driveable but the front left fender has some sort of rope keeping it in place lol. I’m just curious what we’re looking at to replace that fender. His dad will put it on the back burner and I’d like to get it fixed soon and just curious if anyone’s replaced a fender lately and what I might be looking at on cost. Nothing major yet.
Firstly, this looks to be a 2005-2011. Toyota changed the front end for the 2012-2015 models, which this one doesn’t have.

$6k for this truck even with the damage is a very good deal in my opinion - undamaged it could easily sell for $15k.

Damage it would need a headlight (probably should replace both so they match), a front bumper, fender, fender flare and the hood. You could buy used parts, new oem, or new aftermarket - all which cost their own respective amount. I’d say a very rough estimate would have me thinking this is around $1,500 to do correctly. That’s just assuming there isn’t anything wrong that wasn’t listed and that you’d repaint the front.

Midwest farm truck? I would be curious to see what the frame looks like before sinking any money into it.

I edited my question. You’re right, It’s not a 2012 it’s 2010 Tacoma. We’re in Northeast Louisiana. It drives great. I drove it home about 45 miles on the interstate and it didn’t miss a beat. I have a 2022 4Runner and a 4Runner before it and love my Toyota. I’m hoping my son can get a few years out of this truck. his dad kept saying we got a steal but then I saw the body damage and have no clue on cost for that stuff but hoping I can get the fender/headlight fixed and then do some other things to it later. Planning to add lift and tires too.
