Making a narrated video like that is allot of work, I've got hundreds of vids on YT and that was the first narrated one and harder then any of the rest. I agree, it's got to be something I'd almost be willing to buy anyway or it's not worth the time which can be considerable if you're not a natural BS'er.

After doing one of these I've realized the product needs to be more expensive and desirable for me to devote that kind of effort. I'd rather just go out and purchase it in the first place which was my initial inclination. I do get the occasional requests to test stuff like cheap drones and weird other chinesium stuff but it's nothing I want to own. I might be willing to pimp myself out for some cool Tacoma part though :)

Fair enough. When I bought the S10 the guy just asked to see my license to make sure I had my M1, and then my brother stayed with him with the cash while I took it for a quick ride. I've let every prospective buyer of my bikes test ride it with full asking price in my hand as well.

Hey, your video turned out way better than I could do. Your voice/narration is way better than mine. I'm only trying to make videos right now to get better at speaking in uncomfortable environments and to stop saying "uhh" so much.

Thanks, I figured out you can slice some of those conversation quirks out of the edit, I have the same problem.

Haha not really I just asked if he wanted to do something with it since it’s sad it’s just falling apart in a barn… gave him the idea of me fixing it and him paying for it (since he claims he has no time for it…) my guess is i will
Get it running and he will get board and it will be mine eventually

Yuuup no idea how long this will take since it’s gonna need some work done! Fork seals are shot, carb most likely will need rebuilt, plastics are yellowed and some clips are busted on some, frame is missing paint and will need to be redone, and what ever else is needed! The last time it was rode was by me and that was yeeeears ago! Prob looking at 7-8 years ago!

Two buddies and I discussing a saddle sore this spring. I know you’re a man of many two wheeled miles. May I pick your brain as we plan along? It’s in early discussions. I’ve been reading up and watching YouTube videos.

I mean, paint and plastics are just to make things look good.

Fork seals, fork bushings and fork oil. Not a terrible with the right seal driver job just time consuming.

Carb that have been sitting... At this point with carbs I just pull it, strip it and go through every nook and cranny then use an OEM carb manufacturer rebuild kit.

Either way sounds like a fun project!

Alright all. Where do you guys buy your tires online?

The super tenere needs a rear and typically I look at
    • Rocky Mountain ATVMC
    • RevZilla/Chaparral/Cycle Gear
Any other places yall find good prices at?

True it won’t to hard and should be less then like 200? But should be fun I wanna get new plastics or at least cleaner ones with oem style graphics as well because ya know why not.

I bought the tires for the Super Tenere from Revzilla on sale but sometimes eBay has some really good discounts as well.

I did a lot of riding today, first time going two up with my wife on the back on the Super Tenere and it was raining and super windy as well. As usual the bike is super unphased and I'm very impressed.

Then I rode 50 miles each way to pick up a free riding jacket for my wife but unfortunately the jacket is a little too big and no back protector pocket. :(

It was pouring on that ride and I ended up getting soaked through my GoreTex suit. Oh well, still a great day! ~250 miles total.

I parked next to a guy with a T7 and it turns out we both have Iron Butt plates!

Holy crap. You make that bike look small. Does your wife ride on her own, or is she only interested in being a pillion?

On the note of Gore-Tex, did you see the fortnine video on it? I was kinda surprised.

Heh I guess that's why I like bigger motorcycles.

My wife doesn't want to ride at all. I've tried with the Navi and the Grom but he isn't interested.

I don't remember exactly what FortNine said about Gore-Tex, other than him being kind of negative about it... I should really wear my rain suit.

Less negative, than just showing that it's no longer something special or different than the competition. Gore-Tex is a brand at this point, because they don't use the original formula. They use the same stuff everyone else does now.

My aerostich Darien stayed waterproof for 20+ years - until it burned in a house fire. I bought a new one, but I miss the street cred patina of the old one.

    I assume that was a Gore-Tex item?
