Totally random, but I’ve been working on making a low garage seat for working on bikes/GX. Finally got seat and back padded and covered in Nomex. Now to disassemble and paint it.

Been a minute since anything has happened here. Life has been super busy! I have been picking up parts here and there for this thing and plan on installing stuff in the next couple weeks if things stay slow. Fingers crossed. I have some OME 2886 springs for front, Dr. KDSS spacers for front, a Ironman pan hard bar with their rear KDSS spacers and a1”coil spacer to go on Bilstein coils in the rear. I plan on doing some fab work as well. Panhard correction bracket and chopping rear bumper and adding tube for higher clearance-ish.

 

I will reshape mud flaps and get some measurements for mounts I’ll have to fab for tube. I want to chop exhaust but I’m concerned it will get annoying with no resonator and that Flowmaster I put on.

 

I chopped resonator off. I couldn’t tell if even made any difference. 15 minutes any highway speeds sounds the same in the cabin.

 

Still running without resonator ? I’d think you’d know or be a problem or not db wise. Any codes pop?

Yep, it’s seems total fine. I was messing around today and put it into manual mode and there’s definitely more noise when the rpm’s are way up. Sounds good though. My wife just shakes her head and I have a sickness.

 

Ha yeah I get it. My Z has headers and no cats. It goes into blow masters which are fine but inhibit performance. So I want a diff muffler which will be way louder.

 

I’m going to try out some Auxbeam lights. I still can’t bring myself to pay hundreds of dollars for LED light pods. The Nilights I used on my Taco were still going strong when I traded it in with no fogging issues after 5-6 years.

It appears that auxbeam has stepped up their game a bit. Wiring has waterproof connectors for lights and the housings look like they are powder coated now. Fingers crossed.

@Juforrest ever make bed side stiffeners for your old taco? Think I’m going to add some now that it’s seeing some towing again.

 

I didn’t make them. I bought the total chaos ones on super good deal. It was one of the time vs money things.

 

If they turn out to crap I will probably just buy some nilights and still be money ahead.
