Vibration

Installed a Eibach stage 2 kit. 1.5 block in rear. I have a slight vibration around 50-60mph. Installed a spacer to lower the carrier bearing but still have the vibration. Suggestions?

Flip into 4HI and see if the vibration goes away. If so, its the driver side needle bearing.

 

I have the replacement for the needle bearing and I also have spacers to drop the front diff.

 

Mine did the same thing and it turned out a tire threw a wheel weight. Had tire rebalanced problem went away.

 

I just replaced the tires with some Falken wild peaks.

 

so did your vibes go away in 4HI? if not, the new tires are very likely the next place to look. Might want to get them balanced again; could've lost a wheel weight between now and then.

 

Where are you feeling the vibration and does it go away at higher speeds?

 

Not that the factory driveline angles are great to begin with, many get by with no complaints. The factory settings couldve been measured prior to lift install and used to compare after lift. Measure what you have now. The CB drop may have made numbers worse. Maybe not.

 

Put it in 4hi and definitely don’t feel the vibration on slowing down. I’m going to remove the cb drop and put replace the needle bearing.

Replace my needle bearing with the clam shell bearing sleeve.. After busting a few knuckles. The vibration I've trying resolve Is gone. Best things ever done. I'd recommend everyone doing this.

 

Hey guys, i replaced the clam shell bearing and vibration went away. I was rushing I believe I put the new differential cv axle seal in the wrong way. I've got a leak from heal. my question. which way does the seal face outwards. I've bought another seal and will attempt it again. but before I do, I want to make sure I'm installing it in the correct direction. I see people using a 2 inch pvc pipe connector to tap it into place

 

Just received a recall notice for my truck. Still need to replace the needle bearing. Thoughts on having the dealer replace it. Thoughts on cost?

 

Alot cheaper for you to do it than the dealership. Mine wanted over 600 bucks.

 

I guess I better start watching so YouTube videos.
