Why not just roll some duct tape in a loop inside out and then put that on the bottom of the bottle?

I too frequently ride my bike in Denver. Doesn't matter if I stop at stop signs or slow down, or blow right through them, any driver not paying attention will run me right over. People making right turns in front of me/the bike lane, and running/rolling through stop signs at two-way stops (when I don't have a stop sign but they do) are the most common culprit.

I'm surprised I've made it this long without getting hit. ***Knocks on wood

I am a cyclist and have mixed feelings about the CO "Safety Stop" aka Idaho Stop.

My problem is when I “blow” a stop sign on my bike, people that don’t know the law or are just angry, yell-at-the-clouds type get SO ANGRY and start yelling at me. They don’t realize that I’m reducing traffic by not driving a vehicle, not taking their close parking spot at the mall, not slowing them down one bit. They just want to be RIGHT that I’m in the wrong. Oh well.

Now, if I were blowing stop signs and red lights in a busy area and taking down pedestrians, that’d be a different story. https://sfist.com/2012/04/05/cyclist_who_struck_pedestrian_at_ca/

But we have a bigger problem and that’s scooters. I have had several people almost hit me riding the wrong way in the protected bike lane (curbs on both sides so no escape), and others completely blowing red lights without slowing down. https://denverite.com/2023/12/26/scooter-crashes-cherry-creek-path-denver/

When I come into an intersection with a vehicle within stopping distance I slow down, make eye contact, and then do the weird hand waving. If there is a vehicle stopped at the intersection I stop, look in the opposite direction, and then sometimes watch the driver frantically wave at me. No one near the intersection, I will ride through.

I see many humans on wheels blow stop signs daily.

So I did this today, took about 20 minutes to squeeze just under an ounce through the spout, red top removed. The sense of self satisfaction when completed was pretty high. Good call.

This has a really nice patina to it, small crack in the head that has been repaired. pretty common on these engines. Otherwise good condition.

This one has a short shaft on the pulley side, someone cut it off.
Otherwise in good condition. I like the spoke flywheel better. Not sure if the blue was a factory color.
