Just wanted to say Hello, and thanks for being a great source of information. My first Toyota Truck was an 1984 single cab R22, then a 1988 3.0 V6 Truck. Also had a 1995 Tacoma 4x4 V6. Being in the military at the time, the finance company wouldn't let me take it to Hawaii, so I had to sell it and join the dark side... That's when I purchased my 1st Toyota 4Runner. It was a 1994 4x4 V6. Being corrupted by 4Runners, I purchased a 1998 4Runner 4x4 because it had the rear differential lockers. I ended up moving to Germany with it. While stationed in Germany, I was deployed to Iraq for a year and caught pictures of the FJ Cruiser. So after wiping away the drool from my mouth, I sought out a 2007 TRD SE...because who want's a silly white top. Anyways I just recently got ride of it this month (Dec) and came to my senses and purchased a used 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4. Quicksand color black TRD off road wheels. I love it, and with my bad knees, it was nice switching from a 6 speed manual FJ to a 6 speed automatic...although I still try to push the non-existent clutch in occasionally.

Anyways I live in Lutz, FL which is near Tampa. Moved here after I retired from 20 years in the Air Force. I love Toyota's and have been driving them all my life will probably always drive them. I have a bi-color German Shepherd named Maya who occupies the back seat area of my Taco. We like going to parks, and beaches. We like to camp when it's not 5 million degrees outside.

I look forward to learning new things about the 3rd gen tacos and meeting like minded people on here.

Cheers and Happy New Year to all.
