Turn signals do not function, instead, the turn signal lever activates hazards.

Checked bulbs, fuses, and grounds - all good.

After reviewing TW posts (have found similar posts but not this exact problem) replaced the flasher - still only hazards.

Took to local shop, signals worked on the drive home and not since. Receptionist at shop said it took them awhile to 'unstick the flasher' if it keeps not functioning might need to replace the switch. Haven't heard back from the mechanic.

I'm thinking it's either the hazard switch or the turn signal switch. Current plan is to check the voltage from the hazard switch when it is off to see if it has 12v power.

Anyone dealt with this before? Suggestions? Again, I've browsed related TW content a couple of times. Not finding anything super helpful. I haven't had to combat an electrical 'gremlin' like this before hoping someone has some insight into my problem that will save me a few hours and potentially hundreds of $. Thanks!

Turn signal, Hazards are all to ground. As in fused battery power to DRL/TURN/HAZARD relay then to ground via haz button or turn select and/or DRL from fused IGN power at engine ON.

I would recommend getting a diode dynamics flasher relay. I’ve been running one for three years and it’s been awesome. It is a pain in the butt to do though

Just a thought, on my old T-100, when it was really wet and slushy out, it would do what you are describing. I pulled the plugs on my wiring harness for the trailer lights and sprayed them well with WD-40, and this took care of it.
It's likely not the same thing, but it sounds like you have something in the rear lighting shorting out.
I'd start by getting under the truck and having a look at the wiring harness relative to your tail lights. Maybe you can find something worn or shorting against the frame.

Thanks for the tips! After haphazardly going around and tightening front end grounds, the turns signals started functioning normally. Definitely have not tried the hazard button as I don’t want to potentially aggravate the problem.

I’m guessing this or something like it will happen again and I will be back at TW. Thanks again!
