Howdy! Looking to upgrade my stock tires and wheels on a 2017 sport. Would like the durability to hit the trails.

upload_2023-12-30_7-49-29.png For a more all round tire I have these on my truck and I'm really pleased with them.

upload_2023-12-30_7-51-25.png If you want something a little more aggressive the Falken Wildpeaks are a great tire as well. Obviously a little beefier than the Yokohama Geolandars.

Others that folks seem to like are the: BF Goodrich KO2, Cooper Discoverer AT3 and Toyo AT3. It really just depends on how much you take the truck off-road, the types of terrain and if you can about on-road performance as well.

I just put the Toyo AT3 on my 4runner yesterday. They’re smooth and ride quiet. The sidewall isn’t as aggressive as they appear in the pictures. Otherwise I’m happy with them initially.

    Howdy ShortyB, welcome.

    Duratracs
are the most aggressive A/T thread, hence a little noisy for some folks. But great in the mud, snow, dirt etc...
Wildpeaks are a little less aggressive and less noisy.

I chose these 2 because they both come with the 3 peak snow designation, which is a must for my driving needs.

Before my recent set up I went with a set of good year wrangler ats they did awesome in the snow great on trails and a few yearly commutes from Kentucky to Georgia and back and came in at under 600 a set 265/75/17 after I wanted to try mts so I purchased a set of greenmax travelers 285 75 16 10ply I've currently put almost 17k miles on them they was easy to balance have taken one hell of a beating rotate every 4/5k miles highly recommended but I've taken them on 4-600 mile trips and they aren't bad on interstate at 85/90mph but I'm over that rough ride currently looking at getting a 285 xt tire

I had the GY DuraTracs on my 08 Tacoma and on my 16 4Runner. Excellent tire in snow. However as the miles add up so does the road noise. I made the switch to Toyo Open Country AT3. They are less aggressive looking quieter and still carry the M+S rating. Time will tell how they work for me.
