Bed Floor Lay Flat Cargo Cleats or Rings

No.... remove the bolt from bed and do it on the floor against a piece of wood. If you did it with the bolt still engaged in the bed you'd mess up the threads. Hold the socket with vise grips/pliers and give it a few good smacks.

I have used the OEM ring under the bed bolts and the Sprinter. Sprinter rings are better, the plate is larger so the bolt head sits flush without pinching the D-ring.

 

This is much smarter than trying to use a ratchet strap to hold it in place while I torqued it…
