2nd gen plug and play remote start

Mine just recently started doing that. The two way doesn't tell me when the truck is on, but does respond to tell me when it's locked or unlocked. I haven't yet swapped batteries in the fob.

 

Its not that im worrying about it. I just want my chimes back! haha Every now and then ill go to start it and walk out to my truck never being started, so sometimes its working sometimes not. This is after 2 years though and dropping my keys every now and then.

 

I tried swapping the batteries but still the same. Maybe next ill unplug the module for 30secs and see if that changes.

 

Mine works for lock and unlock, but does not provide any feedback for remote starts. I'll call them sometime next week as I have the forever warranty. We'll see what they say.

I also thought about reprogramming the key, but that's more work than I want to do for something that has works otherwise.

 

I had this issue, but the feedback came back in the next day or 2 and it never acted up again. And the truck started, even though I did not get the beep.

 

NEVERMIND- I called and they walked me through resetting it.

Anyone happen to know the programming procedure for Accessorides 2011-2015? My truck battery died, and my remotes stopped working to lock/unlock/start. Thanks!!!!

I know this is old and out of context.. but are you selling/in the know on how a guy might buy a pre-wired wiring harness set so that a guy could buy the cheaper remote systems?

Wanting to do a remote start on my 2013 Tacoma but really not interested in an 8hr install on a Viper unless I can buy an adaptable "plug and play" wiring harness so I don't have to do all that splicing. Seems like the best options are:

StartX might be worth the cheaper price if you have experience wiring and are willing to T tap/splice two wires in a relatively cramped area. I tried the kit but didn’t like how challenging it was going to be to splice in the two wires.

 

Curious if it may be possible to add a push to start button on top of a 12volt or Accessoride remote start plug and play system. Has anyone done this. I was looking specifically at the Easyguard EC003N. This within itself says it's a remote start kit with the push to start button, but there is no built in immobilizer as I believe the 12volt and Accessoride options have.

 

Anyone have the remote programming instructions for 12v?

 

did hard reset but nothing working on my end.
