Hey all! New to posting here but old to reading the forum and over the time it’s been I have to add the fact that I’ve learned a lot here so thank you guys!
Im the original owner, 2019 dble cab trd off rd and got a leer topper like 3 months ago. Then I had that squat look which wasn’t my style plus it rode like an old Cadillac w/ bad suspension on the freeway. So I then installed icon stage 3 leafs and it definitely helped! Raised the rear w/ stiff payload. Looks great (minus the squeaks) but I already have dobinson poly drop in bushing pending installation. I’ll also be adding new bumpers most likely steel. Maybe a winch.
Need help choosing a budget way of lifting the front to be level w/ the claimed 3” rear per icon? Thinking of second hands w/ low miles for now.
    Some 14” 600#eibach on c/l for $150 as a start but I’m clueless.
PS. I plan to upgrade shocks/springs, upperCA’s, maybe lowers too in order further complete my decked out suspension.
Sorry for all the writing as they’ll get shorter with time.
    Enjoy the pic IMG_8265.jpg

old school way is a football in the coil spring.

high school way is to jack up the front of the truck, and shove thick chunks of rubber into the spring coils to prevent movement.

Cheapest quality lift I know of is Bilstein 5100. Would that get you where you want to be?

I reccomend Bilsten 6112...a step up from 5100's. Slightly larger with better dampening

    Bilstein 5100's with coils $450
    Bilsten 6112's with coils $1200

I also like 6112 and 5160–I got mine from hotshot. But I’ve had 5100 on other trucks they are pretty decent for the price.

    Sweet looking setup.
Personally I like having adjustable height up front as I add more weight to my rig over time. I know I can always adjust initially rather than replace.

that’s what I’m trying to shoot for when I start building my final front end. I was thinking bilstein 6112’s pre assembled to start.

Yes! That would be my choice but I’d have to save a little for thhose because I’d like to buy all 4 so I can install them all at once. For this thread I wasn’t really sure what little I can get away with without compromising my front end in any way. I’m just impatient lol

oh say…$500? Perhaps you’re right about crying once. I’ll all the work myself so the labor is almost free minus the pains of doing the labor. So in a couple months I’ll begin the final front suspension. I think I should wait and forget shortcuts in the meantime. It’s just that I see 3”/1” or 3”/2” lift kits on c/l for a great deal ($250-$300) every now and then compared to the final 4 Bilstein 6112’s, new UCA’s, big brake upgrade, (idk enough about coilovers yet) and I haven’t priced that yet but I’m sure I’m close to 2k +/-

I would go with 6112’s IMO. GREAT set up. I had it and loved it. Since moved up. Definitely would recommend. Then build from there. Eventually you will
Want to change leaf pack as well. So begins the rabbit hole :rofl::rofl: Good luck and have fun

football in the coil spring is an old street racers trick back when rwd v8 domestics ruled the roads. given the torque of the v8's with a solid rear axle, lots of guys had issues with torque steer, where they'd drop the hammer at the line and the car would twist and veer off to the side. to counteract it, they'd deflate a football, put it in the passenger side coil spring(the side that's trying to lift), and reinflate to a pressure that worked. basically a one-sided helper spring on the cheap but better than changing coils as it was infinitely adjustable.

the rubber blocks, well, anything goes with some long blonde hair 'motivation' and only enough money on the pocket for a tank of gas and 2 movie tickets.

OP, are you saying you already have the option 3 Icon RXT leaf pack? Or an AAL? I just installed the 6112/5160 with icon RXT and the difference vs stock is amazing. Doing something like that, or even 5100’s is completely different than the cheapest spacer options that are more “budget”.

Just wanna make sure that I am following along so that I can best help you out here. Do you have a full replacement Icon RXT leaf pack set at option 3, or the Icon 3-leaf progressive AAL? As for your current suspension, what shocks are you on now? It's hard to tell from the pic, but spacers up front I am guessing?
