Hey all, I am looking to upgrade to some 33's(285 70 17) since recently I just put on a 1.5" lift rear and a 1.7" lift front. Currently, I'm running 31.7(265 70 17). I've looked everywhere for people running a similar setup but have only found Fokes running 2" lift systems.

Just curious will a 1.7" lift be able to accommodate them?

    Thanks!

The main question you face to fit 285 in the front and back of your front wheel well, is how much negative offset, if any, you have or will have. See article below.
The 1.7" lift helps but is less impactful than how far out your tires stick.
I have no lift and still got nearly 1/2" forward caster adjustment when I asked the shop to max forward my alignment.

Any idea if zero offset TRD style wheels would fit 33s on the same lift setup?

In the trailtacoma article, the had stock +30 mm offset wheels. They added a 3/4" spacer, which is -19 mm of offset, leaving +11 of effective offset. In the article, they go through the trimming they did to fit Yokohama Geolander 285/70r17 tires- they appear to be AT models. See manufacturer tire dimensions for that size and model.

Personally, I have 305 width tires and -6 offset wheels on my unlifted truck, and I got a cab mount chop and trimmed about 3/8" from the front and back bottoms of my front wheel wells for more turning clearance.

Zero offset with a 285 tire may work without the chop or trim but it is a small window to work with

Aftermarket UCAs help, but are not always necessary. Wheel offset is more important than lift. 0 offset or -6 seems to be a nice spec on an 8 inch wide 17 inch wheel

The truck in article was fitted with Geolander X-ATs. 33.0" diameter, 11.7" overall width.
