Flip-Pac, they closed down in 2015 but still hold the patent so no one else can build them. They really missed the recent "Overland" boom, and now we have about 20 companies making similar campers. But none like these.

Last road-trip took a wrong somewhere... :alien:

The octagons are great but a little trimming, super snug with the cam tab gussets that were done years ago.

Front end feels solid, with upper and lower uni-balls, heim steering, kings, double shear gussets, and tundra brakes ect.

Had an overnight beach site open up and decided to snag it, overcast but was a nice mental break.

Been wanting Starlink for a while, but the space and power requirements were a challenge.

As soon as Starlink mini was announced it was an instant buy for me. Now to decide if it's worth hard mounting or just keep it 100% mobile. Of course I don’t have the link, but I recently saw a project on IG where they were making a hard mount for one that you could snap it in and out of to suit your needs.

Yeah nice to see the aftermarket is already kicking off, will be interesting to see what they come up with. Already ordered a USB-C to DC cable to see how it does off power banks.

Haven't tested service yet, not sure I want to start the billing just yet, but it did power directly off my Eco Flow River 2's 12v barrel plug. Not having to use the inverter saves a ton of power. May try to work a full day off it + laptop to gauge power usage. Also want to see if direct via ethernet or WiFi has any power difference.

Likely won't hard mount until they fully allow in motion use but may mess around with the pole mount they included.

USB to DC5521 cable finally arrived for the Starlink Mini, now I can run off USB power banks. Official cable should be out in due time.

Not too shabby, decent speed. Ranges from 50-120Mbps

Already seen several example on why this would be extremely helpful to have in the back country or even on a major highway...

I purchased a Starlink mini recently. Have you looked into a mount options?

Not yet, saw some more official ones pop-up in the app.

May fab something up once they enable in motion use, but this thing is so portable I might not bother, did make an adapter to use my Makita batteries as well that can run it for a few hours.

This one does look neat however. Like they just modified one of the QD fire extinguisher mounts.

Okay, just started on page 1. Looks like I have my reading material for the day.

Just want to say, this must have been a serious butthole-pucker moment:

Messing around with a temp Starlink mount on the truck, should work great for camp, not sure I'd trust the stock pipe mount for cruising down a washboard road.

Also not a fan of the angle, will likely flat mount in the same location to line up flush with the camper.
