I have a 2018 Toyota Tacoma it has a viper FOB/remote start. On Christmas Day my truck didn’t start when trying to remote start I manually put the key in and turned and it stuttered but turned on. Next day I put a new truck battery the truck manually turns on right away but again remote start is not working my truck will continue to try to turn but never turns on. Anyone ever deal with this or know what to start to look at? I also tested alternator and starter both seem to be fine. I also just put a new battery in my FOB and still have the same issue

I don't know what type of remote start you have so I couldn't search the help docs for relevant articles. I would call their tech support hotline or search the documents for your specific system. There may be something that needs to be paired again since you replaced the battery or perhaps something was lost from the unit's memory. No impact, no idea as I have no experience with Viper remote starts... but I would start there. If you still have the manual and if they took the time to include a section on common problems you may want to bust out the manual and see if there are some troubleshooting tips.

Before doing all that ^^^ I would get a new battery for your FOB (probably a CR2032) and see if it is just a weak battery. If your Taco's battery is toast your FOB may be due for another one.

You said "Next day I put a new battery the truck". Does that mean an engine battery or a fob battery ? Maybe the one you didn't replace needs to be.
