Looking at selling my beloved Tacoma at some point soon, but doubt the dealership will value anything I put in it, is there a market for like new leather seat covers, bed extenders, mats, etc?

Sell privately, please dont trade in a green tacoma, someone wants it and would rather give you the money.

Mods dont increase value but increase curb appeal.

Yea, I’m sure there’s a market privately in my area. Haven’t sold a used car in a long time due to convenience and unable to be “car-less”

Yeah. I left all the mods on my 1st Gen when I traded it in. I had at least $4k worth of stuff added. And that was 2004 prices.

Dealer didn’t give me anything more for the mods. The truck was sold the next day to a kid that was going to college in the next state over. His grandfather bought it for him as a high school graduation gift.

I get it, I've traded in vehicles, but I work at a dealer and they tried to hose me on my own tacoma trade in.

You're basically losing 5000$ + with trucks like yours.

What I do is buy/finance the vehicle ahead of time, and put the current up for sale privately. Usually I can get it sold before the new vehicle arrives.

Either way I'd leave the stuff in the truck, used they have little to no value.

Best wishes with whatever you chose.

If selling the truck whole, you're going to get more for it to a private buyer vs a dealership.

However, if you're buying something else, the tax savings of trading in your truck can be a greater advantage than what you'd make selling it yourself, plus a lot less headache.
If you go that route, you're better off removing as many of the mods as possible to return it to stock and make money here selling the mods.

    Just some stuff...
I’ve bought plenty of used stuff here. Even sold a couple of things. As long as everything works and/or is in good shape you shouldn’t have a problem. Whatcha got??? Lol!!!
