Sweet Wheat is fantastic and $39 is quite a bit less than I’ve paid for it.

Hahaha. Than you’re gonna really be shocked that I picked up a few over the holidays for $36.99. Well truth me told my BIL picked them up over the year for that but he gave them to me over the holidays. But yes I couldn’t agree more. It’s a great pour.

Nice, I just killed a MBSR on Sunday. Definitely one of my all time favorites. I'm on bottle kill tour this month, and I've got front row tickets.

I love 1792 Sweet Wheat, but in Colorado I've never seen it on the shelf for under $80. I do regularly see 1792 FP store picks in the $60 range though, and it's pretty good too.

For those that care about my little wood aging experiment with already smoked new make. Bottled this on 10/7 and then forgot about it. Maybe I left it too long. But I feel the wood was fully used at this point. I took wood spirals that already had a medium toast and added more with a propane torch. That's what light, medium and extra mean.

Extra: not much smell, very light tasting. I really thought the extra charring would add something. But it makes sense, it sealed off the wood.
Medium: darker than the rest which is slightly surprising. Light oak and smoke taste.
Light: about the same smell and flavor as the medium but smoother.

This definitely rounds out the flavor, gets rid of the new make taste and adds wood notes. Interesting experiment but my taste buds aren't the most refined. So there's that.

I may take the already toasted wood spiral and put it in the rest of the new make. High Wire already makes this smoked red corn whiskey into a bourbon and it is fantastic! So that's hard to beat.

Makes me really wish I could get more of this stuff. It’s really sweet, but I think it’s oh so tasty!

I drooled all over my laptop, and now my keyboard doesn't work. Had to switch to my iPhone.
