...It's clearly easier and cheaper to swap the sensor, everybody knows this. However, you're kinda missing the point here. I'm using the failed TPMS sensor as an excuse to get new wheels. Wheels I have been intending to get anyway. Wheels I want to get. Wheels that would look better on my truck. Wheels that will (probably not) drop panties for miles around.

    Because wheels.

Thanks for the lovely, frugal, and very practical advice though.

Soooo @Tobias119 what wheels are those? They kinda remind me of TE37's

....well there are a few other nasty scratches and marks on the side bed of the truck and the crushed in rear bumber on either side. But anyway,....yeah I get your point there are some things to look into as far as making the truck more presentable without breaking the bank. Thanks for those suggestions! @nihil ....I'll have to go dig around for the paperwork, I let my mechanic weigh in on the build and he found the wheels and tire combo for me! I'll get back to you on that though.... and yes, it does look strikingly similar to those wheels.... I wanted a satin look to the wheels instead of the bronze given the color of the truck. Have been very happy with them ever since.

expect to spend real money for quality made bumpers / winch mounts. You do not want to cheap out on something you're going to be winching with or yanking with

@nihil ....extremeterrain is where we ordered the 17 inch wheel and tire combo package... there are several wheels that look similar to mine on there too. I was lucky to not only have saved up for several years, but I also used the earned cash back/points from my credit card too.

Was curious if anyone else lifted their stock truck 3 inches and changed out the coil spring... what spring rate and brand did you go with?

Be careful and look at weight before you buy. I bought and installed a 4x4 body armour front bumper and it weighs 225lb! Now ive got to level the front end out.

i bought this one: 2006 Toyota Tacoma Body Armor 4x4 Front Winch Bumper | RealTruck

A similar accident happened to my 2006 except it also damaged the light. It ended up being similar price to replace the oem bumper with aftermarket because it replaced everything below the lights (doing it all myself that is - the body shop wanted $5K, 75% labour). It's surprising how much plastic and lightweight metal there is behind the bumper. The real bumper is like an aluminum box beam, eveything else is cosmetic plastic.

@Oxygenrace yeah I'm gonna pass on that front bumper, I do like the look of it..... but like you said then I'd have to compensate for it with proper suspension components.

Any suggestions for the rear bumper replacement? I can probably get some help installing it, would a later model bumper be a straight bolt on? I have a factory rear tow package set up on it... luckily that part is undamaged.
