Thanks @destin_meeks. What’s the difference besides price? Ease of installation? Simplicity? What do you prefer if it was yours?

My goal is to replace all speakers including the jbl sub, adding an amp to run them all.

For the JBL system, just ignore the lc7i
you want either the AmpPro or the Rockford DSR1
These two talk to the digital signal the radio is sending to the JBL amp, decode it, and create full-signal pre-outs to allow you to hook up your new amp. They also have harnesses that allow you to wire your amp to the existing speaker wiring so no need to cut/splice

Wow, I was unaware of the Rockford DSR1 until you mentioned it @destin_meeks. I've researched both, and only main difference I can see is the DSR1 have options to configure it from your tablet or smart phone, which I like. Is there anything I missed? Do you prefer one or the other?

The DSR1 is also an entry level DSP, where as the AmpPro is not. It just creates flat signals

DSR1 is entry level DSP because it only creates flat signals?

Does AmpPro give all full range signals?

A DSP allows you to adjust the EQ for each speaker, time alignment, etc. it’s an entry level DSP because it’s all relatively limited in the controls and adjustments that can be made

The amppro creates a flat full range signal (no EQ, time alignment, extra signals like door chimes or anything

2017 with JBL. I have a D.4.800. What’s the best way to integrate this bad boy? Couldn’t I just tap post jbl and use summing feature?

nope. the radio 'talks' to the oem amp with a coaxial audio signal. you could attempt to use an LOC on the factory sub wiring to feed into the new amp, but you'll still be left with all the factory audio processing that's been specifically implemented for the factory gear, which might not work great on other gear.
