Was a member of a Tacoma forum years ago, so maybe back again. 2006 Prerunner Access bought new, now 110K miles. Always wanted more than maps on a phone and finally ordered a JVC V660BT arriving soon. Tailgate has been a pain with the left side needing a push to release.

Opened it yesterday to find the plastic rod clips failing. That confirmed the need for a new handle, now with camera ability to go with the JVC. Been reading past emails about choices and not sure which is best value - Pop N Lock, Master Tailgaters, Dorman, etc. Did learn the 2009 handle would fit with space for a camera. Better to buy handle and camera package or can you get better components buying separately?

Thanks you. Kept thinking I would move to a full size truck for towing but the Tacoma has done the job. Rental place claimed I needed full size to tow their equipment, used a friend's 3/4 ton, but the Tacoma easily returned it.
