Rough Country is what I've been using for the past two years.

Most popular seem to be Rough Country and Clazzio. Personally i went with Clazzio as I had past experience with them and they have always been excellent.

Best quality options are Wet Okole if you want neoprene or Clazzio if you want leather.

I've had both and they are fantastic

I prefer Wet Okole in the Taco. Just seems to fit the style a bit better in my opinion.

Neither are cheap by any means, but they are worth it.

I have no complaints on the quality. They do have a smell to them that takes a while to go away, you could probably machine wash or wash by hand and get rid of the smell.

My Clazzio driver seat bottom is starting to develop cracks from just 4 yrs of use. Kind of disappointing, they look good but they fail in the durability test.
I took care of them also and used conditioner on them at a regular intervals.

I'll throw in another vote for the Rough Country covers. For the price I think they are hard to beat, and quality wise mine are still as good as day one so far. I hand washed mine per the instructions and it still had a funky neoprene smell for a short time, but compared to the unwashed smell it was much easier to deal with. Didn't take long for smell to go away completely so I wouldn't let it scare anyone off.

Curious to know what looks the best

hopefully none are too slippery to slide around on

I wonder if this is something folks do after a seat tears from age
Or if it’s better to do beforehand to prevent that

I’d think grey > black to reduce sun heat
and brand name > names never heard of that sound weird

idk why some seem to cost $1k, and if that means they replace stock skin or something…
    rather than go over it

I know there’s Clazzio, Wet Okole, Katskinz
Supposedly Wet Okole neoprene runs hot and I don’t plan on wearing my seat cover as a wetsuit to surf…

I had Clazzio leather on my last Tacoma.they replaced the driver's side seat bottom twice under warranty. The third cover did not hold up well either.

Had Clazzio briefly, but sold them and bought these cheap ass $8 ones from a discount store. Super thin and stretchy, but they are easy to remove and machine wash and keep the seat just as clean (and are still breathable).

They wouldn't be good for a tradesman who works out of the truck, but I use them to keep the stock seat fabric from getting any more wear on the bolsters.

+1 for Carhartt, quite durable and waterproof, cheap and not sticky. You do lose some ergonomics of the seat bolsters, though.

If you like Cordura nylon, these are top notch. Made to order in Montana. Great fit and finish. Have a set in an F250 since 2002 and in my Tacoma since 2008 and they still look new.

I use these. They shift around after you get in and out and might have to adjust, but it’s just to keep dirt off the seats or when we’re wet from the lake/ocean. Nothing special, but you do not lose any ergonomics since there is no tension on the fabric from fitting over the seat. I also had a 50% off coupon and the other universal ones weren’t available yet.

Another vote for Marathon. I've had them on a couple different vehicles over the years and agree that they are as good as it gets for this style.
