California Lifeguard Tacomas

I’ve see a few of these before but this is the first yellow Tacoma I’ve seen in use. It’s a 2023 TRD OR used by Ocean Side, CA’s Fire Dept.

 

What do you guys think 5k or 10k oci on those?

Seriously though. I’ve never seen em in yellow either.

 

I was fascinated by the Maui PD Tacos when I was there a few years back...

I don't hate it, like at all. Some limo tint, dechrome, and black rims that could be slick.

 

I wonder which bed racks they use...the yellow one looks like maybe a Thule, curious on the red one though that rack looks cool...

 

Looks like a first generation Leitner rack with their cargo pods.

I have never understood why people are so fascinated by seeing work vehicles. I wonder if f-150 guys get the same stiffy when they see one being used by an AC guy?

 

Tacos are all over the Arab world, some sporting .50 cal machine guns and packing explosives. Might need some equipped that way here soon.

 

Nope. The difference being that Tacoma's are cool.

I think you’re getting close after spending couple of nights in Auburn last summer and encountering armed security in the Fred Meyer store.

 

I see Tacomas used by Terminix and Orkin all the time. I think this is a little different. I like seeing the Fire dept square body trucks and such too. Also I posted this mainly because I’ve never see a yellow Tacoma before

You can custom order an F-Series in school bus yellow, so I am guessing yes, they might get a semi…

One of my dirt bike buddies had one, of course we teased him to no end. Did use it for down hill mountain bike shuttle runs, so the color did fit.

 

To me it's more the "official government use" I guess. My old work truck was a taco, I had twins in my driveway for a while, didn't seem like a big deal. Seeing a cop car taco definitely caught me off guard though.
