Does anybody know how many chase 0/5 cars are made in total in a hw premium set, world wide or in the US?

No, Mattel does not release production numbers on anything.

He will want my police car treasure hunt in trade, I know it but for real though it shouldn’t be this hard to find the prado.

It's called a Chase for a reason.. just like your TH and the Super Treasure Hunts... if everyone found them every day they wouldn't be special.

And it'd take a lot more than that TH cop car!

Ahh, I didn’t know it was a chase. Why they gotta do that with a vehicle nobody cares about except for the overlanders!?

 

Well, there are two versions of the Prado.. and the whole set is called HW Off Road.

This is the Premium "Regular" version - note that it's numbered 1/5




This is the "Chase" Note that it's numbered 0/5 and blacked out.

 

So all chase’s are 0/5? Still new to all this stuff.

 

Hot Wheels does their Chases as 0/5 in the past Premium series.

I don't know what 2024 is going to bring since Hot Wheels is changing things up and going to 3 lines.



In the Basic Line, there have been Treasure Hunts, which are single cars, like your cop car, and there are Super Treasure Hunts , which are actually a mainline car, but special paint and wheels etc. So on a STH, you can find a lot of say #49 , but very few of the STH #49.

As previously mentioned, they do not release production numbers.

Other Manufacturers do different things with their Chases.

Both Matchbox and Hot Wheels have Target Exclusives.

Kroger and Walmart and Dollar General all have their own exclusives.

These are all mainlines but with a special color.

 

Saw a news special the other day and it amazes me that people are spending 6 figures on some hot wheels.
