    The chassis: 2000 2.7 pre runner ext cab Trans: out of a 1999 2.7 5 speed 4x4

Well, I have had the parts to do this for a while and finally got around to doing it, I bought a w58 out of a 5-speed 4x4 truck and got the flywheel and pedals from it as well.
So far trans is bolted to the motor all pedals are installed ready to throw the cross-member on. except it is nowhere near fitting, the cross-member sits behind the mounting holes on the trans itself. Are the crossmember brackets welded on the frame in different spots for different trans options? Or Are the crossmebers just different I have been finding conflicting info.

also if anyone has a solution for the ECU situation? I have seen people say I will need an ECU out of a manual truck, I was planning on plugging the range sensor into the auto harness and setting it to neutral so the ECU will let the starter engage. other than that ill have a few codes but I'm not worried about the dumbass light.

    Hey Man,

First of welcome to TW. Now to the question on hand you will need a 5speed manual transmission crossmemeber so it will fit at its correct spot. And secondly to avoid head headaches I would try to find manual transmission ecu. You can run the ecu you have just have to deal with the neutral safety switch. I'm pretty sure there a posting here about that

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
No emission inspections to worry about?

Don`t care the mil is on.

just jump the neutral safety switch closed you will be fine.

No need to plug anything else in .

I take it you don`t weld or the cross member would not be a problem.

    What @6P4 said. It should be a w59 not a w58.
The the r150f in the 3rz is longer than the w59 and mounts 3 inches further back. The cross member is the same BUT 1. The cross member mounts are welded to the frame 3 inches back and 2. The mounting bracket is different.
You either need to relocate the cross member on the frame or modify your cross member.
