Just noticed a leak on my rack and pinion on my 2011 Toyota Tacoma prerunner not big, but slight drop in fluid level when I checked the reservoir. Could it be just the boot or the seals inside (from the passenger side). Need help

    the rack is probably leaking.
I put some StopLeak and keep driving.

Later on might put a Tundra rack

if you just want to replace it with another same rack now, various places to rebuilds. DIY might be possible but difficult.
Or slapping in a whole nother one with parts kit like crush washers and doing bushings while you’re at it

maybe a decent OEM brand from RockAuto.

Boot doesn’t keep fluid in, just keeps dust out and prevents rust. It is the inner seals causing the leak.
