    Apparently if the battery in the 3rd Gen MT is completely dead, then it won’t push start.

    Yes, most if not all of vehicles nowadays are like this. You need some voltage to "excite" the alternator field for it to start charging

    Mine started to die after 3 years .. but I was running an amplifier off of it . So more strain on the battery . Replaced with Duracell battery with higher cranking amps for colder months and hotter summers . It’s warranted for 3 years with 2 free replacements if it fails in that time .

    Replaced my original battery after 3 1/2 years and 60k miles. Zero issues with it, but... Arizona heat is tough on car batteries and I don't feel like dealing with a dead battery.

    Went with Interstate from Costco.

    I do have a jump box. But, like I said, infrequently driving killed it. Unless there was a defect. 6, 280 miles driven since 12/15/2021.
