One lucky SOB

Last spring I was pulling up to my FIL's house and he had a brand new 2023 SR5 V6 parked in the driveway. I told my wife, that's exactly the truck im gonna get. Ive been drooling over it whenever we went up for a visit.

Had no plans for a new vehicle until last week when the wife informed me her mom is "making my dad get rid of the truck". I guess she didnt like the gas mileage and he owns a few other vehicles.

Offered it to me at blue book value and i got him to come down a little bit. I am now the proud owner of a Black 2023 SR5 V6 with about 4500 miles on it. Paid 36k. Teck package and Nav with a few other add ons.

After seeing all the changes to the 2024's im really glad I snagged this beast when I did. We were going to wait a few years for a new vehicle but by then it looks like the prices are gonna be outrageous and they can keep the V4 turbo.

I put some husky mats in it, storage dividers and a cargo net. My TRD Racing themed valve stem covers (for $8 had to get em) are due to get here today and i ordered the OEM chrome inserts for the tailgate. Probably gonna throw some Clazzio seat covers in it eventually.

Anyway im glad to be on the forum. Been lurking about a week looking for ideas and have definitely found a few.
