First off roading experience -

Yeah - I probably will take the nipple rings off the front as well - they just haven't been annoying so I have left them on.

 

I have nerf bar steps and no lift. I get cross some pretty rugged terrain as is

 

I don't know what nerf steps are but the Predator steps that Toyota puts on hang down several inches (3 or 4 maybe - not sure the actual amount)
I have seen some rock sliders with steps integrated into them but they are not hanging down so I guess that works out pretty well if steps are important to you. Beyond that steps attached to the body do not protect like rock sliders attached to the frame so in my case I felt for protection purposes the steps had to go anyway.

If you are in the market for some cheap sliders: 4WP has these for 300 bones. The shipping was like 170 for me tho. But 500 bucks for sliders aint bad. They arent the prettiest things ever and i dont think they are made in US of A, but not a bad price.

Yeah I learned quite a bit since I wrote that post. I really don't have a great pic of my Body Armor sliders but below you can see them towards the rear along with a few battle scars coming off the trail a Uhwarrie - she cleaned up OK though
