Hello! I'm looking for a pin out or wiring diagram of the OEM dash cam or it's connector, or, the wiring diagram of the wire harness kit # pt949-35220. Looking to see if I can identify the battery +, ground, and ignition on the harness before I start doing it the old fashioned way and hopefully save some time.

Looks like they are just using a Y-harness to tee into the wiring to the auto dimming rearview mirror.

Hey now! Thank you, that's perfect! Now I can wire it up and use that OEM harness instead of hacking up my truck or running wire all the way to other sources. I figured that was the case as the OEM Dashcam boasts always on capability, so it had to have an always on power source and an ignition source. Most of the premade harnesses are for 5v USB cameras, I have a thinkware camera and want plug and play to my existing wiring.

Those are USB, I have 12v into the camera. The OEM harness will work with the camera, just chop the wire harness ordered from Toyota that would feed the OEM camera and connect to the harness, looks like it has all of the right wires, nothing extra, and it (OEM wiring harness) comes with fuses already part of the harness.

Just snapped a picture to show one of the fuses. I knew it would work, but the wiring diagram helps me out a ton in saving some time and confirming it. 20240110_215613.jpg

So I finished connecting my dashcam and it works good. On with the car, off (parking mode) when you lock the doors.
On the OEM harness for the OEM dashcam- white with black- Ground. Pink- Batt+. Black- Ignition on. You can follow all of the directions for installing the stock camera, but splice your camera into that OEM wiring harness, good for thinkware cameras or any other with 12v+. The OEM camera harness has 2 fuses for the 2 positive connections. The red clip broke, but I had some clips left over from my Lexus, so I used one of those. I recommend getting a few clips to have on hand if you decide to do this, I was careful it still snapped one of the sides. It fit nicely close to where the stock camera would.20240114_121408.jpg20240114_121839.jpg 20240114_122813.jpg 20240114_131139.jpg20240114_124300.jpg20240114_131108.jpg
