Will 265/75-R16 tires on 16x8 (0mm offset) wheels fit on a stock '21 TRD Off-Road?

    So I currently have a '21 TRD Off-Road with:
    • Stock suspension

    • Stock 16" OR wheels (I believe they are 16x7 +25mm offset but not sure, can anyone confirm?)

    • 265/70-R16 Sumitomo Encounter HT2 tires (dealer put new tires when I bought the truck)
I've been on a few trails (dirt, rock, mud and snow) and I'm not very confident in the "Highway All-Season" Sumitomo's.

    Now here's the deal -- I know I want Falken Wildpeak's on Method MR701's.

I also know I want 33s and a lift eventually, but I'm not ready to pony up the cash for that yet.

I hear that 265/75-R16's are the largest tire to fit on stock suspension, so here's my idea:
    • Sell my current wheel/tire combo

    • Purchase 265/75-R16 Wildpeak's and Method MR701(16x8 0mm offset)

    • Run with this combo until I'm ready to sell my soul for the lift kit and 33s

    • When that time comes, I can just upgrade the tire size and the suspension, keeping the same Method wheels
    Will this work?

Will 265/75-R16 tires on 16x8 (0mm offset) wheels fit on stock '21 TRD Off-Road suspension?

Will the 285/75-R16 tires I eventually want to get fit on the same 16x8 (0mm offset) wheel?

    Any other thoughts/concerns?

You can also run a 255/85/16 skinny on stock suspension. That's a true 33" tire!

Hi, there have been many discussions in the recent weeks on these fitment issues.
A wise man reminded me last week to use an offset-backspace converter to toggle between different wheel widths and offset to be sure of comparing apples to apples.
That said, I can confirm my 2016 stock wheels were 16x7, +25 offset. I ran 1.5" wheel spacers with them for a couple of months which made my effective offset -13. My front 265/70r16s turned w/o touching the front or back fender well or inner liner or body mount at full lock.
I doubt you will have any problem with another inch of diameter tire of similar width.
