Tacoma_parts_shop avoid at all costs. It’s 100% a scam. Has normal prices and claims to be based out of Louisville KY. Doesn’t accept payment to himself it’s always a “cashier” and never the same one. I thought it was fishy, but bought a cement gray TRD pro hood. This is where it got super scammy and I feel like a complete moron for falling for it.

He/they “shipped” the part and provided a tracking number. All seemed normal, but the freight company, I’ve never heard of.

Sinotranscargo.com. Website looks legit, tracking number worked, etc. I started getting emails from
Sinotrans saying the part was stuck in customs in COLORADO and they needed a 100% fully refundable deposit for insurance in the amount of $350. After fighting back and forth for two days I said I would only pay if I was allowed to use PayPal for goods and services so I was protected. They said they only accepted Zelle. Long story short I paid using Venmo, which was NOT secured. Then I get an email from sinotrans saying the package was insured and ready to be delivered, but then required a $250 payment for 3 tax stamps which is only 85% refundable. I fought back and forth with the guy/seller to pay it since we agreed on the price shipped for the product $550 shipped. Now I’m getting radio silence. This is the most elaborate scam I’ve ever seen in my life.

Just was saved by your post! Found Tacoma Part Shop. There is no (s) in parts, but had a great price on bam beds. But they are not on FB and have no web site. No reviews. But wanted Zelle or Venmo. Came within an eyelash of sending $$$. He got offended when I said I just needed to feel good about his busniess. Thank you!!!!
