I agree you've probably hit that bumper more than tree times. Time for a nice steel one.

    New bumper.
    Been thinking about it.
    Stock bumper is pretty stout.
Thought for sure I would've damaged it more I did last year.

I should have asked if the liquor store warning has moved north.

I think people hoard liquor in Wisconsin regardless of the weather.

What tire pressure do you guys run in the snow? I've had my Falken Wildepeaks set at 40 psi since forever. Not impressed in the snow for a 3PMS rated tire. I lowered the pressure to 35 for this storm. Heading out for my Friday morning hockey game in 10 mins. We have a touch over an inch on the ground right now. Ride home should be exciting.

Same as street pressure. But, I could see airing down a bit being helpful.

I always heard that those were good in the snow.

Both of those pressures are way too high. Should be running them at like 33 in the dry and maybe 25 in the snow for actual results. Lol

They're fantastic if you don't overinflate them to donut status

Different tires but mine never get above 34 on a hot summer day...
    30 cold.

I had mine in the low to mid 30s and they were great in snow.

Kendas work fantastic down to around 8psi. After that I get debris in the beads and they leak. Time for bead lock rims…. Normal is around 35 ish. Being what they are they are a tad harsh but that is the price. Could probably get away running them in the 20’s somewhere but I would forget a tow something heavy and wonder why it’s squirrely

I keep saying Kendas FTW but nobody believes me. Just a fantastic all around tire.

I’m hoping for a good amount of snow tonight and tomorrow to see how the Falkens do. Mine were set at 35 psi when I got them from Discount tire a few months back.

I think everyone else has you covered already, but wanted to mention pressure is also going to depend on tire load range. What is good for someone with SL rated tires may not be the same for E load range. Only way to know what is best for your tires in dry conditions would be to do a chalk pattern test and then knock off a couple PSI for the wet/snow.

If you want another data point, I run mine at like 34 year round, maybe a touch lower in the snow if I really need to. General Grabbers are damn good in snow, quite similar to what I would expect for a Wildpeak but have never had those myself. I have C load range though so it may be slightly softer compound than E loads on most 33" tires.

Anyways, in general 40 might be too high for the conditions. You aren't going to hurt anything by dropping to 30-32 and seeing if it helps.

Yes but haven't been able to mount yet because I need to do the CMC and flatten the pinch weld. Other stuff kept coming up last year but I should have them finally mounted sometime this spring.
