Hello all. I’m new to the site and need help ! I have a 2016 TRD, the A/C is blowing warm air. We have a local shop that specializes with Toyota’s but he said he could not work on the A/C in this model truck. I’d like to avoid local dealership if possible, they are notorious for being crazy expensive. I live in Sarasota / Bradenton, Fl area, looking for suggestions on where to take it

Not sure why they would refuse to work on it unless it has the 1234yf refrigerant and they aren't equipped for it yet.

If it is a 1234yf system and there's a problem on the refrigeration side don't expect it to be cheap nomatter where you take it, the refrigerant alone costs 4-5x what 134a does.

Thx. I figured it was an equipment / capability issue. I’ll dig around to see who else can work on it locally and avoid dealership if possible

That year could be r134a or rf1234y. Am planing on moving to that area as soon as i sell my house. Any reputable independant repair shop should be able to service your freon.
