8 Jalepenos ~4" lg split, seeds removed
Venison loin or tenerloin (what I used)
Italian Dressing
Philadelphia Cream Cheese - Box not spreadable type
1lb - 16 strips bacon

- Cut the meat into 16 slices, tenderloins work great as the amount is perfect. Marinate in dressing for a few hours.
- Slice off the cream cheese wide enough to fit on the pepper half
- place meat strips on stop
- I sprinkle a little McKormick Brown Sugar & Bourbon grill mate on top
- Wrap with bacon. Secure with wet toothpick or two
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Broil for 2 ish minutes to crisp bacon
- Enjoy. Blue Cheese dressing is great with them

Side note. I made two batches over the Holidays. One I made right away. The other sat for two days in the fridge before I cooked them. They. Were. Fantastic!

If any one has recommendations for trap dye let me know. My trapping days of my youth were all with traps that had already been seasoned and mostly coons and groundhogs.

 

been along time since i went with a bud running traps. funny story. checking traps,had a possum. i nailed it in the head with the bat. put it in a burlap bag. throw it in the back seat of the jeep and off we went. heard something,looked back and the possum was sitting up in the back seat like a pet dog. LMAO

 

I done the same thing with knocking one in the head. When I stopped to rearrange my pack and things I noticed bubbles in the puddle it’s head was in. I learned my lesson that day, either a 22 to the head or a harder swing!

Sunday’s our last day. My big bucks have disappeared so I’m hunting with my buddy. Hoping something new shows up with the snow and colder temps.

 

and a big field of carbs to warm em up, the ones that make it that is...

 

Looks like about a million tracks out there, sorry you have to endure that.

 

Had a great hunt 2 nights ago, 13 doe’s and 10 bucks in cut corn field. Two of the bucks were mature and looked pretty good but none of them were close. This farm has a buck we call Palmer and he’s going to get shot if I get a chance, my buddy wants him gone.

 

The ground is covered with tracks.

You’ll have to ask him, I’m pretty much the only one outside of family that gets to hunt here. We’ve known each since we were 5 years old. Him and one of his sons have bought 6 farms now for a total of 580 acres. I have put in a lot of hours and sweat equity in these farms and buildings.
