I have a '17 Sport DC that I have owned since new and had an OME 2" kit (887s with AAL in read) since 500 miles. I work from home so I only have 30k miles and its almost time for a new set of tires. Instead of overpaying for a 2024 Tacoma I was considering modifying mine a bit more. My question is, with my current setup would I be able to fit 35s? If not, what modifications would it require to eliminate most rubbing etc? When the truck was new I didnt want to chop anything, but now its 7 years old I'm more willing. I dont do much wheeling in rocks, mostly in the snow, so articulation isnt my main goal, just a better stance.

Also, can anyone recommend a shop in the Sacramento/Roseville/Folsom area? Thanks

You can fit 35’s with no lift. Just a ton of trimming.

You can make it fit. Biggest factor is not the amount of lift, rather what offset are your wheels? If you have a more negative offset, you WILL have more rub.

Since articulation is not your goal, you can make it work without trimming the entire fender like I bet you've seen on other builds with 35s.

You will have to do the typical CMC or mount relocation, hammer pinch weld, trim fender liner, etc.

Proper alignment also plays a big factor. Caster is your friend but is not the entirety of it. A proper shop will know how to handle this.

Thank you for the reply, I will be getting new rims at the same time so I will be able to make the offset match what I am looking to accomplish. I guess my next step is finding a decent shop in my area
