Wow! I had looked for a conversion to intermittent wipers way back in '09 or '10. The only thing I found was harnesses and having to take the rocker panel off, etc. I thought that only having this one vehicle, I didn't want to screw it up and not be able to get to work, so just forgot about this. Anyway, happened to visit the site yesterday and came across this thread! I'm going to drop over to the dealership in an hour and pick up or order the switch. Even i can do this mod! Only thing that grips me is I didn't see this thread years ago and have had to drive the truck all these years without the intermittent wipers.

I just finished my swap. It went pretty smoothly and took me less than 45 minutes (including preparation - finding tools, lighting, heating the space, etc.) went in with 1 Phillips and one flat blade screwdriver. Removing the plastic shroud took more effort than expected - never completely removed the bottom half, but went back together rather easily. I also took lots of pictures as I progressed and that slowed me down some. DSC00706-Wrong Label.jpg AndItWorks.jpg
I got the part from AMAZON for under $30: ACROPIX Turn Signal Headlight Switch Front Windshield Wiper Switch Fit for Toyota Camry 2.4L 2007-2010 8465204141 - Pack of 1 Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZYRXQMD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I don't get a cut - they (Amazon) won't even let me leave reviews!

Ha ha, I'm still driving with 2 speed wipers on my 2007 Tacoma base model. A dealership counter quoted me around $250 for the part.

    Other work was higher priority.

I plan to eventually get a new oem part, but will shop it more.

I realize many do, but unless I have a warranty or recall problem, I can't go to a dealership (stealership). Toyota dealer $250 while after mkt. or used OEM appx. $50... Your decision & good luck.
