I drive a 15 Tacoma TRD OR with the 4L V6, looking for real-world experience with the two tire sizes.

How did the 265 handle terrain, specifically mud bogs, and sand, and did the 285 offer a significant difference off-road? Was there a large difference in MPG from one to the other?

I run mud and sand, some more technical Gulf South trails: deep ruts, bogs, sandy river sides, pine forests, and logging roads primarily. No rock crawling at all.

Current tires I'm looking at: Firestone Destination MT2 or the Patagonia MT-02

If anyone has good recommendations, I would also get cheaper/Amazon-special mud terrains like the Prinx or the Thunderer.
