I haven't seen this much snow in a long time. The dog (60lbs) was having a hard time. So, I took the 4wheeler into her pen (75×110ft) and plowed out an area for her. I did get stuck twice. I was able to practice self recovery skills.

Our Elm Grove store lost power Friday and I've put in a lot of hours there since then. Just got some sleep and deciding if I'll need to get back there this morning. No generator back up, so every perishable item had to be removed from freezers and coolers and bunkers and put onto refrigerated trailers. Used the Taco to take a portable generator from our warehouse to the store, just to charge batteries for flood lights and power some plug in floodlights.

Milwaukee flood lights worked fantastic. Ever been in a dead silent, dark and freezing cold grocery store?

Have to say I'm very happy with the new Mickeys. I had to go to my sister's place Friday night and they handled deep snow and sloppy slippery slush like it wasn't even there. Love this shot...

-8 here. Crazy Asian wife saw an inch (or less) of new snow and decided she absolutely needed to shovel it.
I told her to wait a couple hours, she refused.
Kinda humorous because she has no plans to leave the house until Friday to go to work.

Be thankful she's out there doing it. Mine messaged me at work once asking where the shovel was?..
    "Idk, the downstairs bathroom?"
    Repeat that, I'll deny it.

Just came in from sweeping off the solar panels and stacking some wood. Got some fingers frost bit a few years back and man do they HURT when it gets cold like this if they get cold. Need some good outside work gloves for minus something! Takes for ever for them to stop hurting too. I think @Supr4Lo might have had the right idea...

I haven’t looked at the temps but there is a nip in the air
This was from walking the dog

what’s the saying about dogs and their owners looking alike?

Went out for some sunrise photos of the sea smoke on Lake Michigan.
Was out there maybe 20-25 minutes and got frostbite on my thumb. Can confirm it sucks.

I have a pair of these I picked up and Farm and Fleet last year. They seem pretty decent

Of course I wasn't wearing them the I was out taking photos because of the dexterity needed to work the camera. I had on some fingerless gloves and should have grabbed my rechargeable pocket warmer.

My other stickers showed up, finally.
    'Tundra' front bump stops.
I think they'll work out fine.

I just came in from outside. Dog needed to go out for a bit. She's a inside/outside dog. Every night inside. Days she's out, except in this cold stuff. Very good dog inside.
I filled a bird feeder. I didn't have to carry the bag of feed. Just dragged it across the top of the snow. Easy peasy.

I'll have to look for them gloves next time I'm at FF. I'm a firm believer that you can never have too gloves or hats.

Of course it's not summer here yet though... always a trade. But it was a beautiful day on the trail yesterday. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...oad-febuary-16th.814273/page-16#post-29482808

Mine are also sensitive to the cold… probably from the years of sitting in the tree stand until you are too cold and have to come inside..

Couple years ago i bought a set of outdoor research mountaineering mittens. I figured if they were warm enough for someone at -40 on a mountain, i outta be alright. It’s been one of the better purchases I’ve made and i no longer end up with cold fingers. They were spendy but its well worth it to not be miserable. I was outside yesterday for a couple hours and was plenty warm, I probably needed my lighter weight coveralls.. my down stuff was too warm unless i was just standing.

mine is an inside/outside dog as well. In this weather she’s happy to sit out on the deck and watch the world go by.
This was from yesterday’s adventure to a local park. IMG_3150.jpg
I really messed up because under that snow was a sloppy muddy mess. she was a dirty dog and I had 2 soaking wet feet when we got done.
